| Would your be willing pay a canidate to interview with you? by Brian Cunnningham |
Last week our lead story was "NotchUp: Either the Best Idea Since LinkedIn, or the Worst Idea Since Flooz" I personally have never heard of Flooz but then I guess that's the point. The basic premis of NotchUp is first that it is a double blind "introduction service for employers and job canidates. The main attration is that NotchUp gives individuals who are not activly in the market for a careeer change to be found anyway. The unique hook for them is getting employers to pay highly qualified professionals for the privedge of being interviewed. This is a very hot topic here at SpaClique right now. I am right in the middle of developing a double blind spa executive "match making" program similar in concept to what Notch Up is doing here. This came about because I am often asked about who might be available for open spa career positions, usually related to Resort Spa Director slots. As it happens, our "Social\Professional Networking" infrastructure already has most of the needed moving parts.
I started this before learning about NotchUp and and at first blush I have to say the the revenue model used by NotchUp seems a bit out there to me. That said, out of the box thinking is what really makes the business world go around.
Once you get past the big "Say That Again!!?" factor, and think it through, the Notch Up revenue model starts to make sense. To be honest I was thinking of offering an "Executive Referral Program" as a free member service. If nothing else, I would have better answers to the "who is out there question"
What do you think?
Spa Executives, would you like a confidential, double blind way of way to have your name out there with out risking your current position?
Employers, what would it be worth to you to be able to "connect with the executives you would really like to hire for your great opportunity but are notactivly looking ?

Would you like a incredibly effective free marketing opportunity? Well here it is!
